Despite rain and a very heavy pitch traveling Hucknall Sports U-11's played some of their best football to keep Netherfield Colts Blue under the cosh.

From the off, Sport's hard but fair attitude denied anything Colts had to offer in this YEL division 1 tie.  Sports, some playing different positions, were unlucky not to get the ball over the line on a number of occasions in the first period.

 

A different strategy paid dividend in the second half as Daniel Yates bagged a brace of follow up goals with Callum Gospel knocking in the third.  An outstanding effort from James Talbot earned him man of the match status, but every player from keeper to forwards should be congratulated for their great effort in this 3-0 win over 4th in the league.
