Wollaton Hall 1 Hucknall Sports U11's 3

Saturday 24th April 2004

This was the final game of the season for Hucknall Sports U-11's as they travelled to fellow high riding Wollaton Hall in the YEL Division 1.

This postponed fixture was well worth the wait as both sides locked horns to reap all 3 points. It took 20 minutes for Sports to break the deadlock with a stunning James Talbot goal, this was short lived though as a penalty was conceded which beat the 'on form' Zac Flint.

The second half began with electric pace seeing George Bradley blast in Sports's second.  A solid performance from the back rows of Luke Bowen, Alex Orton, Lewis Early, James Innes and Ben Reedman held off any chance of Wollaton getting back into the match.  The third came from down the middle with Luke Peters, Daniel Yates and Jack Fearn linking well, with Callum Gospel getting on the score card again.

Hucknall Sports fully deserved the points with this 3-1 win.
