Hucknall Sports U13's 3 West Bridgford B 0
Saturday 14th February 2004
Hucknall Sports played against West Bridgford for the second time in two weeks and come out the winning side again.
Bridgford, who are a very good side and are 3rd in the league were comfortably beaten in all aspects of the match. Sports started off pounding the Bridgford goal and if it wasn’t for keeper Peppe Leader, Sports would have gone in at half time 4 up but in the end it ended goalless.
Sports started off the second half making some great chances and a great ball from Lee Elvidge to Matt the man Innes, sliced through the defence and hit a thunder shot against the crossbar. Then again Matt the man ran powerfully against the defence and this time smacked the ball from 16 yards into the top of the net. After that Bridgford came back into the game and Jake Newbutt made some great saves and also Bridgford hit the post, but Sports caught them on the break and again from Matt Innes who crossed the ball for Paul Giller the killer to slot home from 5 yards. Sports made it 3 when Matt hit the ball for the keeper to save and Josh the demon Davenport scored his 19th goal of the season.
Sports have now scored 74 goals
this season and only conceded 13 goals in 15 matches. Well done to all our lads
for this great run and lets keep it up for the rest of the season.
Manager Pete Innes.
