Hucknall Sports U16's 1 West Bridgford A 4

Saturday 17th January 2004

A resounding defeat left Sports demoralised and deflated and realising that a lot more work needs to be done if they are to win the title.

They started brightly enough, and subjected Bridgford to intense pressure, but by half-time they only had one Dhiri goal to show for their dominance.

Sports bossed the opening stages of the second half too, but an outrageous slice of luck, when Raynor's clearance hit Billyeald, and landed at the feet of a Bridgford attacker, turned the game on its head.

Two bad defensive misjudgments followed and Bridgford capitalised on both, before completing the rout with a well worked cross and finish.
