After nearly 2 months without a match Hucknall Sports Under 7's White started the match briskly with Kieran (Rocket Ronnie) Shephard having 2 shots on goal in the first five minutes but just going wide.

However, the first goal didn't take long in coming with Thomas Howarth scoring after a goal mouth scramble. Afterwards Hucknall pressed for  further goals and sure enough the tireless Joe Barnes made a surging run on goal from the half way line and scored after his first shot hit the post to put Hucknall two goals up. To Kimberley's credit they came back at Hucknall to score two quick goals just before half time.

 

After a half time talking to Hucknall showed their superiority by pressing for the rest of the game in Kimberley's half and it wasn't long before good link up play by the midfield and attack saw Hucknall's lead increase by two superb goals from Ben Oscroft. Sports thought they were 5-2 up when a good free kick from Andrew Shaw was heading for goal but for some excellent defending on the line. This then set the pattern for the last ten minutes as Kimberley cleared numerous balls off the line to keep the score down to 4-2. This didn't reflect Hucknall's dominance but said a lot about Kimberley's character as they never gave in.
