As the 1st half got on the way Hucknall started very slowly and Cotgrave looked a better side passing the ball around nicely, although they never really looked  threatening.

As the half went on Hucknall started to get into the game and they pressed the goal of Cotgrave and shortly before half time Thomas Howarth cut in from the right side and crashed the ball into the net from 20 yards.

 

The 2nd half started much better for Hucknall as they pressed from the off and they were soon 2 up thanks to a goal scored by Kieran Sheppard who slotted home after good work from Emilio Monaci, who was playing up front this half instead of his usual goalkeeping spot where he has been outstanding since volunteering earlier in the season. The third goal was a David Beckham speciality as Andrew Shaw scored from within his own half as the ball bounced over the goalkeepers head. The fourth goal was scored by Kieran directly from a corner, but has Hucknall relaxed after this goal they were caught out on the break by Cotgrave who scored a consolation goal just before the final whistle.

 

The man of the match award went to Emilio Monaci for his 2nd half display where he hustled for everything and put the defence of Cotgrave on the back foot.
