Hucknall Sports started the match with the bit between their teeth having only lost 2 games in the first half of the season, of which one was to Vernon.

Looking for revenge Hucknall took the game to Vernon with some excellent passing and tackling with all the Hucknall Sports players looking like a team that wanted to win. With some excellent saves from both keepers the game was only split by one goal. This came after a power shot from Chay Murden that the Vernon keeper couldn't hold on to it which in turn lead to a great poachers goal from striker and man of the match Tom Percival. 

One goal was disallowed when captain Joe Butler went on a solo run from the half way line only for the ref to blow because a Vernon player was down injured.
