Sports poor recent form continued today in their final league fixture away to Wilford Mavericks.

With 3rd place and Division 1 football next season guaranteed Sports will have to play far better football than this to hold their own in the top division. Wilford, who needed the points, played with a will and determination that Sports themselves have shown this season and were well worth their victory.

Two well taken goals either side of half time sealed Sports 4th defeat of the season. Sports have three competitive games left this season, in the Presidents Cup, to try to recapture their earlier form and to finish the season in winning ways.

Man of the Match again went to Fraser Flint for another sterling performance at the back.
