At a rain sodden Wigwam Lane Sports turned in a performance to match the weather, miserable!

From the very first whistle in this YEL Cup 1st round game, Wollaton looked dangerous and should have scored with their first two attacks. However, against the run of play, Alex Smith was brought down in the box and Joshua Henrys subsequently fired the penalty kick into the back of the net for Sports. This didn't seem to affect Wollaton though and they quickly bounced back to finish the first half 3-1 up with Sports unable to contain them.

At the start of the second half Sports briefly raised their tempo but just couldn't crack the Wollaton defence. Wollaton scored three more goals and also missed a penalty in what was in the end a comfortable victory from them and a very poor performance from Sports.
