Hucknall Sports U11's Sunday 5 Wollaton Hall Yellow 1

Sunday 24th October 2004

Another superb performance by Hucknall Sports Under 11s enabled them to overcome Wollaton Hall Yellow 5-1 in this YEL Division One Sunday clash.

Sports started well and the first half was all played in the Wollaton half. Wollaton had obviously come with a game plan and stuck to their task well .However they could not hold out till half time as firstly Joe Wells struck and then Jack Mosedale hit the sweetest of shots from outside the area to make it two nil and earn the £50.00 his dad promised for his first goal. Its in the dispatch now so he s got to pay !

Hucknall were really buzzing now and Man of the match Chris Goodacre was next on the score sheet as he latched on to a defence splitting pass from Danny Stenson.Another contender for Man of the Match Tony Ellis was outstanding in defence and his clearance was picked up by Eammon “ Bulldog “ Loftus to storm his way through the defence for the fourth.

Jak Craig had a good game in the heart of the Hucknall defence along with Ryan Warner and Hucknall continued to play sweet one twos in every part of the park. As a result, on one of these passages of play there was Chris Goodacre to calmly stroke home is second. Wollaton never stopped trying to play though and did score a deserved late consolation goal for their efforts.

This result lifts Hucknall to third position in the league with the prospect of an away game next week to the current second placed team who, lead them by just a single point.
