Hucknall Sports U15's 2 Beeston Centurions 1

Saturday 8th October 2005

Hucknall Sports Under 15s recorded there fist win of the season, when they beat Beeston Centurions who have not lost  previously this season.

In rainy conditions Sports started the brightest and had a chance after 10 minutes when a ball down the middle fell to Michael Taylor who shot just wide. Sports took the lead with a great ball from skipper Nick Ward to Fran Ortega who passed the ball to Josh the demon Davenport who then finely slotted the ball home from 12 yards. Beeston then came at Sports with several shots from outside the box, but  some great handling from man of the match keeper Stephen Bowlers kept them out. Sports however went to sleep 5 minutes before half time when a ball was put through from Callam Bath to C Kirby who hit the ball from 20 yards out and the ball slipped though the keepers hands.

The second half was very evenly matched with Sports having chances from the Demon and Nick Ward and an effort from T. France of Beeston. Sports then changed gear and from a goal kick, the ball was headed on from Paul the killer Giller to Josh the Demon who hit the ball from 10 yards out only to hit the post but new sighing Adnan Bhaijee was on hand to smash the ball into the net. The lads would like to dedicate their first win to Richard Ward who has had a big operation a few months ago and was there today to see the win for Sports.
