Hucknall Sports U8's Saturday 1 Long Eaton 1

Saturday 12th November 2005

 

The first half saw both teams play some nice football and it was Sports who took the lead due to a goal from Cory Rose. It didn't take long for Long Eaton to equalise and that was how it ended at half time.

 

The second half saw Long Eaton come straight at Sports from the kick off and for the rest of the second half, Sports were contained in their own half. Long Eaton threw everything at Sports but it was keeper Jacob Clarke who kept Sports in it, with brilliant saves one after the other. On the odd occasion that Sports entered Long Eaton's half, their new signing Cala cleared the ball away. Cala is a very talented young girl who will go places if she puts in more performances like this.

 

Sports were very lucky to come away with a point from this fixture and it was yet another Dr Jeckyll and Hyde performance from Sports.  In the first half Sports put the work in and deserved to be level but the second half was the worst we had seen from the boys.
