On a frustrating day, Sports suffered a 5 -1 reverse when they could have come much closer to a result.

With frequent changes of formation during the match, Hucknall were unable to settle and show the teamwork and passing skills of which they are capable.

After a first half when they were far from outclassed, Reds went in 2-0 down but AFC's score was doubled before a rare combined move produced a chance for Edward Cook which he netted from close range.

Just before the close, however, another of Vernon's strong runs and a deep cross led to another goal.

Joint Men of the  match on the day were Josh Thrower and Jack Blatherwick.
