Hucknall Sports Under 8's Sunday 4 Clifton 4
Sunday, 9th October 2005
Sports kept their unbeaten record this season with an
exciting 4-4 home draw with Clifton.
Facing their strongest test so far, defenders Matthew King and Josh Thrower, together with Man-of-the-match keeper Kyle Bradley stood firm against Clifton in the first 15 minutes, enabling scorers Nathan Brough and Robbie Brown to set up a 2-0 lead. Clifton fought back to level at half time however, to so set up a thrilling finish.
Lapses of concentration led to Reds falling behind twice in the second half, but
the team showed its fighting spirit in pulling back through Robbie Brown again
and then Billy Johnson for the final equaliser.
So far this season three players have 6 goals to their name-Nathan Brough, Billy
Johnson and Edward Cook closely followed by Robbie Brown with 5. Jack
Blatherwick has notched 2 goals so
far this season.
