Meadow Colts 0 Hucknall Sports U8's Sunday 6

A mixture of rugged defence from Colts and lack of steadiness in front of goal restricted Sports to a 1-0 advantage at half time-thanks to a well-struck penalty from Billy Johnson.

Early in the second half, however, Hucknall doubled their lead with Edward Cook's 30th goal of the season from close range. A good pass from Edward set up Billy Johnson for his second in only the 5th minute, and then Billly repaid the compliment for Edward's second goal.

Nathan Brough found the net with a great free kick 7 minutes later, and Sports finally ran out 6-0 winners in forcing an own goal late in the match.

Billy Johnson was man-of -the match with an all-round display of running, good passing and strike-power. Matthew King and Josh Thrower were unlucky not to get on the score-sheet though
with good efforts when driving forward from defence.
