Whites battle to victory
Poor weather welcomed the start of the game, but with a strong wind at their backs Hucknall set about the game with the type of football you can only dream of. Wave after wave of attacking football produced chance after chance for Whites but try as they might the ball just would not go into the opposition goal. Hallam, Bowley, Evans and Barlow all had chances to score, but a combination of last-gasp-tackles, nervous finishing and good goal keeping saw the scores stay level at half-time with Hucknall goalie, Brown, hardly having touched the ball.
Both teams set out in search of the winning goal and Edwalton thought they had scored during a goal mouth scramble only for the Whites defence to make a last ditch clearance off of the goal line. Then, with each teams players tiring, a stunning footballing move involving Hallam, Bowley and Evans created a chance for BARLOW to score once more and seal the game for Hucknall.
