The game started well for the Rhinos as they competed equally in this opening ten minutes.

Class though soon had the upper hand as Jolli Heer was tripped outside the Rhinos penalty area on one of his tricky runs. Mark Shelton took the kick and as the Rhinos defence expected a cross into the box, leading scorer Shelton hit his kick into the back of the net.Rhinos never recovered after this and within minutes Shelton bagged a second. Picking up a loose ball in midfield, weaved his way forward before placing his shot to the side of the keeper.  

Macauley Walker added his name to the score sheet as Sports sail into a 3-0 lead. From a corner taken by Shelton the keeper manages to fist the ball away, but only to the waiting Walker , he makes no mistake. Sports were playing some good football as their confidence grew, their passing game was a joy to watch, and it came as no surprise when Sports went further ahead before half time. Oliver Davidson-Turner headed home a corner from close range.  

Sports begin the second half where they left off, moving the ball around the park, and as the Rhinos tire Sports hit another six goals. Shelton goes on to get his hat trick, and from another corner Sam Farn blasts one in. Harry Mcpherson-Davis taps one in from a cross from Shelton . Rhinos are finding it difficult getting the ball away from goal kicks, and in one such move the balls headed back to Walker who sees his chance to take his tally to two by calmly slotting it into the net.Two goals before the final whistle by Kieran Duncan get Sports into double figures, two more poor goal kicks are played back and Duncan latches on to them both to end a successful afternoon.  

Another fine performance and clean sheet for Sports before the xmas festivities begin. Shelton began a lot of the play and his hat trick won him the “Man of the Match” trophy.
