Bulwell Blue 1 Hucknall Sports U12's Red 7
Saturday 27th September 2008
Sports travelled the short distance to
Bulwell for this first local
Bulwell started well and it was they who
broke the deadlock after 7 minutes with a thunderbolt that left the previously
unbeaten Sports number 1 no chance. Sports where quick to reply though with a
neat through ball from Big Joe Worrall who sent Oliver Davidson-Turner through
on goal to neatly level the scores. It wasn’t long before Turner bagged a
brace to put Sports in front from a clever ball through from Mark Shelton. The
third came from new signing Fagan Edwards who found the net from close range.
After the interval Sports pressed on the gas
to net four more as Turner lobbed the keeper to complete his hat-trick. Captain
Shelton rounded the last defender to get on the score sheet. Another new signing
Curtis Edwards also lobbed the keeper as the ball was presented to him from the
ever busy Ben Oscroft who aerially today was brilliant.
Sports were rampant now as they stroked the
ball around the park and created the 7th through some good build up
play involving 6 players, which sweeper Ben Clarke slotted home past the
advancing keeper.
Bulwell had fought to the end as Sports
Defence soaked up the pressure with solid performances from Sam Farn, Kieran
Davies, Worrall and Clarke.
Man of the match went to Turner whose goal scoring talents are a wonder to watch.
