Yet again Sports come away from a game without any points, but not without giving any effort.
Every game this season, Sports have matched the opposition in all areas of the pitch but just havn't had the luck in front of goal. A fine performance by the Wollaton keeper kept Sports at bay and with both Josh Pearson and Sam Price picking up injuries the team had to be rearranged. It finished at half time 0-0.
Sports came out attacking again in the 2nd half but again the final ball just wouldn't come off. It was pretty much end to end football with both teams trying to find a winner. The winner came when the Sports defence let the ball go through to the keeper which seemed to stop in the wet grass and the Wollaton striker stretched and poked the ball home.
With only 10 minutes to go Sports eventually found their passing game and produced some good attacks on goal but time ran out and the match was lost.
All the team put in a good effort. Keep putting in this effort and your luck will soon change.
