Hucknall Sports U9's Saturday 3 Blidworth Welfare 3

Saturday 13th September 2008

After a weak showing last week, Sports came out giving an outstanding performance.

Josh Pearson man marked the Blidworth midfielder out of the game and also got his name on the score sheet to make it 1-0. Blidworth soon replied though with two goals against the run of play but Sports then replied with a left foot shot from Matt (deadly) Bloor that found the back of the net. He also had a shot that hit one post, rolled along the line and hit the other.

Blidworth came more into the game in the second half and got themselves another goal to make it 3-2. Then Oliver Bradbury for Sports got put through on goal, rounded the keeper but saw his shot hit the upright. More pressure from Sports forced the keeper to knock the ball onto the oncoming Bradbury to make the final score 3-3.

This was a great example of good  quality football at a high level, enjoyed by both sets of supporters. Credit was due to both sides with  very few fouls and good passing football.
