A point at last !

 

Sports went into this game full of determination and so it paid off.

A corner  from Morgan Jubb found Sam Price unmarked to head in a well deserved goal after a lot of pressure. Pegasus responded almost immediately making it 1-1. A great pass by Josh Pearson sent Oliver Bradbury through on goal only to be tackled from behind, resulting in a free kick, up came captain Ryan Butler finding the back of the net with a fierce shot. Pegasus scored again just before half time.

The second half brought on Matt Bloor for Sam Price who had taken a knock in the first half. A lot of the possession on the left side brought some neat passing between Bloor and Bradbury and resulted in Bradbury knocking the ball past his marker and firing past the keeper.

Again Pegasus pressured for the equalizer and what looked like a pass some how ended in the back of the net!

Sports again put the flyers under loads of pressure, Ellis Abbott crossed from the right and the keeper pushed the ball away right into the path of Bradbury who headed back past the keeper. 3-2.

Could this be Sports' 3 points at last, has lady luck finally found Hucknall Sports? No!  With 3 minutes left Pegasus equalized.

A very entertaining game with both teams giving their all. Man of the match went to Oliver Bradbury who played one of his best games for Sports.
