YEL Cup

After last weeks performance at Blidworth, Sports knew that any repeat would exit them out of the cup.

The 1st half proved what Sports were capable of with some excellent passing moves and attacks, bombarding the home teams goal. The big no 10 for Cavaliers waltzed round the pitch with the ball at his feet that was like a magnet, but he seemed to be the only threat as all other areas of the pitch was dominated by Sports. Sports went into the break 2-0 up with 2 good strikes from Oliver Bradbury.

A couple of changes at half time brought  a more defensive roll to Sports and although they conceded a goal near the end they caused a lot of frustration to the home side. Both Morgan Jubb and Matt Bloor had close efforts on goal. The impressive defence partnership of Josh Pearson and Aaron Roberts kept the home team alert with some surging moves forward although Pearson had to come off injured through a bad tackle.

The game finished 2-1 to Sports and put them through to the semi finals.  Oliver Bradbury earned himself the man of the match ,with an all round excellent performance.
