Before the kick off both sides knew that the wind was going to be the winner in this match.

Sports started with the wind against them, finding it very difficult to adapt to their passing game. Toton seemed to adapt a lot quicker with some good efforts on goal. Sports couldnt wait to get to half time so they could have the wind behind them and this forced changes with Eliis Abbott taking up the right wing position.

Sports still found the conditions difficult however , over hitting  many passes. This continued throughout the match until the very last minute when Sports were awarded a free kick just outside the penalty area. Up stepped Abbott and there was only one place this was going to go, the back of the net and so it proved. The Toton players and parents were distraught after seeing their team play so well and end up losing. If Long Eaton thought they robbed last week, this was worse.

Man of the match was Ellis Abbott for his effort and a great free kick. The HIighwaymen travel to local rivals and future league winners Rolls Royce on Saturday!
