Under 11's Red

Managers Comments

This team have had an exceptional season despite suffering a managerial change midway through the season but they still continued to play attractive football and ended the season in 3rd place in the Under 11's Division 1 which was an excellent achievement.

They also unfortunately lost in the semi final of the YEL Cup to close rivals Pelican Colts.

John Ellis & Eddie Whiles

Players, Player of the Year

Nathan Brough

Anyone who has seen the Under 11s play this season will see why the boys have picked this boy to be their player of the season.

This boys determination and desire to win sets him apart from any other boy on the field and at training. Sometimes this boy drifts out of position but just needs to remember he can’t do it all and keep faith with his team mates so they do their bit.

This boy will go a long way in football and he is years above anyone at this age in maturity but still needs to work hard to achieve his aim. He is our captain and you can see why he is this year’s players player for 2008/9

Sportsman / Most Improved Player

Brody Asher

This boy is very quiet but shows a lot of enthusiasm both at training and on match days. He sometimes turns up a bit later than most to training but enters the pitch and warms up on his own without any input from John or Eddie.

In training this boy shows a lot of good tackling and is hard to beat when defending which we hope he will one day take to match days.He is very nervous when picked to play but this boy just needs to relax when on the pitch and show more confidence. He will make big strides in the team when he does.

This boy has not missed a training session or a match all season this is why he is sportsman of the year for 2008/9

Managers, Player of the Year

Matthew King

For three years this boy has turned up, kept his head down and worked hard at his game. He listens to all the advice given and learns how to use it on the pitch. He has come on leaps and bounds this season and consistency in every game has won this boy this trophy.

Hard tackling, good positioning, reading the game says it all about this boy. Very quiet, you don’t know he is there at training or match days and he is a pleasure to work with. Keep working on your game and you will go a long way. Well done
