Managers Comments
Hucknall Sports U11 White played in the YEL Division 2 Saturday. We finished second bottom having played 20, winning 4 loosing 16 and finishing with 12 points.
Our season was a steep learning curve but at the end the improvement was considerable. This was down to the attitude and commitment of the lads coupled with a more settled line up. In the second half of the season whilst the score lines didn't always show, the matches were a lot closer.Top goalscorer for the team was Declan Tongue and if the lads remain together for the new season, further progression will happen as long as they continue to work hard and listen to those with more experience.

Players, Player of the Year Tom Smith The votes for this award were spread throughout the team which says a lot for the spirit within the squad. The winner showed versatility during the season but having found a settled position played consistently well during the latter part of the season which was noticed by his fellow players. |

Most Improved Player Jordan Steane Again this could have gone to a number of players. Looking at the starting point, progression made, attitude, commitment and willingness to learn our award winner is not the most gifted player but tries hard all of the time and wants to learn and improve his game. |

Managers, Player of the Year Jack Darrington This was a close call between two players. Moving up to U11 playing on full size pitches is a challenge for all players. But it is probably most challenging for the person between the sticks. To move straight into full size goals from the 7-a-side goals must be a little daunting and we didn't get of to the best of starts. This player turned up every week and despite making a few errors made saves which either kept the score down, kept us in the game or helped us win the game. |
