Under 10's Red

Managers Comments

The Under 10’s Red  won the YEL League Cup, were runners up in a very competitive Division 1, lost by the only goal in the Notts FA Shield semi final and also won the Priory Celtic Tournament.

Paul Bradbury & Darren Jubb

Players, Player of the Year

Morgan Jubb

With 80% of his teammates votes this boy has been ever present this season  and has won most of the man of the match awards.

His defensive abilities for a smaller boy have been awesome this season, always ready to throw himself in front of any shot and has also helped himself to a few goals.

He has formed solid partnerships with Aaron Roberts and Zak Chatterie in defence and always looks comfortable as the last man.

Most Improved Player

Luke Watson

Again a few boys in contention for this award. 2 boys who joined this established team in the summer ,Jake Hollis and Zak Chatterie have gone through a lot of the season on the subs bench, always eager and never letting anyone own.

They come to every training session wanting to listen and learn. With the success the team has had this season they have never moaned when either only playing for a few minutes or not at all. They were still smiling at the cup final after not getting on the pitch but both were still happy to be part of the squad.

The boy who has won this award voted by the parents played for us 2 seasons ago where it was suggested that he moves down a division and gets some matches and practice under his belt. When his season long loan had ended he jumped at the chance to move back to Sports and has this season kept 10 clean sheets, the best in division 1.With the dedicated coaching from Mick Butler, this boy has become a solid, brave goalkeeper who is so dedicated to the team and his team mates.

Managers, Player of the Year

Josh Pearson

Managers player, a hard decision with a few players up for this award from Ryan Butler strong on the right wing, Morgan Jubb (Mr reliable in defence), Oliver Bradbury with his 26 goals as a striker but one player, that when his head is switched on, can change the way a match is won.

After adapting to a midfield position throughout last season he has made this position his own with strong tackling and heading ability that would be hard to find in anyone from his age group. With a little more confidence in himself this boy will guide this team to winning the league sooner rather than later.
