Managers Comments
We
would first like to say a big thank you to all the parents for their
support throughout the season, for collecting subs, putting the nets up, running
the line, etc
Well
what a season it has been. At the start of the season we only had 8 players but
one by one players started to arrive and we had a full squad come the k.o
for the season. Chris & Shaun would like to say a big thankyou to you all,
for all the hard work you have all done. You should all feel very proud of
yourselves because we are proud of every one of you. We finished mid table and we know
there will be more to come next season well done.

Players, Player of the Year Chris & Shaun have always said this award is special because it is given to a player who his team mates feel has given their all throughout the season, and they are not wrong,. He is respected very highly by everyone in the team and by all parents. I find it very hard to put into words how good this player is and week in week out he he puts in an excellent show. Shaun
& Chris both agree he is the best defender they have worked with and
seen for is age, and he has won this award for the second year running. |

Most Improved Player Samual Wells This years most improved player goes to a player who Shaun & Chris both feel has improved game after game. He
is a player who always listens and gives his best. He has had to work very
hard to get his fitness back after breaking his leg playing football. When
a young player has this sort of injury, as a manager you always think he
might not take to football again. Its even worse, when we tell him he as
to make those 50/50 challenges, but to this players credit he has bounced
back and is an excellent player to have in our team. |

Managers, Player of the Year Chay Murden This years award goes to a player who has been improving game after game. He started in his position for the first time this year, but has been with Sports for 9 years playing since he was 5 years old and is the longest serving player in the team. He has made some excellent saves and is always wanting to improve his game taking on extra training, there will be even better to come from this player next season. I
feel very proud to give you this award for all the hard work you have
done this season and over the last 9 years. |
