Annual Awards Presentation Evening 2010
Under 18's

Managers Comments
Although
our league results have not gone our way I feel the lads deserve tremendous
credit for the performances they have put in throughout the season. Our
lack of league success was in total contrast to that of our cup run, where we
eventually lost in the semi final to a last minute penalty against the eventual
winners.
The
past seven seasons have seen the team in two cup finals, one County Cup semi
final, gain three promotions, win one Nott’s Youth League Fair Play Award and
have several players represent
We’ve
played some fiercely competitive matches and had some wonderful times away at
Caister. We’ve made many friends along the way, but above all we’ve enjoyed
tremendous support from all our parents. Thank you all, we are taking away some
special memories.

Players, Player of the Year Harry Beale This will be his first player’s player award, which i find surprising given his popularity within the team. During a game he will cover every blade of grass and chase down seemingly lost causes for the team and this has not gone unnoticed by his team mates. When you add these qualities to the number of goals he gets every season you will realise how highly thought of this player is amongst all concerned with the team. |

Most Improved Player Ross Lamb He’s made this position his own over the past few seasons and what began as a sort of trial period soon became permanent with some outstanding performances. He
reads situations so well and is never afraid to carry the ball forward
given the opportunity. His set pieces have resulted in many goal scoring
opportunities. He was my very first signing at U12s. The thought a player with such potential would join a struggling team filled me with great excitement and it wasn’t long before other players began to show an interest in joining. He
also went on to represent

Managers, Player of the Year Sam Sims This player seems to improve with every passing season. A very popular team member he as won the players player award on three separate occasions but never this award. His commitment to the team is unquestionable and he performs to the same high standards every week. The only weakness in his game has been addressed this season with him now heading the ball with complete confidence. Opposition players often remark about his whole hearted and honest approach to the game. He was my second signing at U12s and i am glad to say he’s been a massive part of many enjoyable and successful years at the club. |
