Under 10's

Sportsman of the Year

This boy has been picked for Sportsman this year because of the many different challenges he has risen to this season. Our goalkeeper, due to illness, missed a few games at the start of the season. This boy was asked to don the No1 shirt, which he did without question and played very well. Then in a last ditched attempt to salvage something from the season he was moved out of defence and into midfield. In his opening game he managed to score two and received man of the match. The whole manner in which the under 10’s played seemed to change and the confidence of the whole team increased. He has continued to give solid performances and has made the central position his own. With his ability to hold up the ball and then lay it off  allowed for a different style of play to which the forward soon responded with a goal in every game, which we had been sadly missing. This boys attitude throughout has been brilliant with him simply doing as he has been asked.

Players, Player of the Year

This boy is a great all round sportsman, very quite off the pitch and an unleashed tiger on it. He is a great example to other players and gets on well with everyone.

This player has simply got better and better as the season has gone on. He has trained hard this season, putting as much effort into training as he does in a game. Seeing this boy develop has been so rewarding as he has put into practice the skills he has been shown. He has helped the under 10’s develop the style of football they now play.
