Guests of Honour
The awards, totaling over 250, were presented by an elite group of people within the local footballing arena of Hucknall namely Brian Scothern & Simon Brown from Hucknall Town, Young Elizabethan League representatives Sharon Watson & Maurice Simpson, well respected Youth Acadamy representatives from the professional game Mick Raynor and Phil Shrewsbury. Phil, our Honoury Vice President and his wife Mollie have been involved with Hucknall Sports in various roles over a significant number of years. Colin Lea, from the Nottingham Tram Network, also attended and have agreed to sponsor the under 11’s for next season which was announced on the evening of 11 June 2004.
| Richard & Jill Harley represented Ciss Flint who has
been a very big supporter over the years but unfortunately passed away
earlier this year. We are indebted to Richard and Jill for taking
part in our presentation. Incidentally Richard was the very first
president of the club when it was originally known as Riden Sports.
Brent & Joy Taylor who had a lot to do with the involvement with the club during the late 80’s through to 2001 with Brent running a very successful team and Joy being secretary/treasurer for a number of years. We were also delighted to have with us Mark Oscroft of UK Textiles and Brian Sheppard of BJS Heating and Plumbing the sponsors of our Under 7’s White. |
