Annual Awards Presentation Evening 2004

Under 13's

Sportsman of the Year

This lad has come on with every match he plays in. He works hard on and off the pitch and he is always there for training. He has played in a number of positions when he comes on but when he dosn't get on to the pitch he never moans about it. He hasn’t scored this season but he will do next season.

This has again been a very hard this season to pick because there were a number of players who deserved this award because they have all worked extremely hard.

Lewis Ashcroft.

Players, Player of the Year

This player has played superbly for Hucknall Sports. He has played in several positions this season and has never let the team down. His work rate is 100%  and always has a laugh and a joke.

His main asset for the club is defending but he also plays up front and has scored 11 goals including a hat trick against  Kimberley. He is probably the best defender we have ever seen because nothing ever gets by him. He wins the ball by slide tackling and also he is very strong on the ball when going forward. Almost the whole team voted for him.

Joe Todhunter.

Managers, Player of the Year

This is the hardest decision the management have ever made since they took over at the start off under 9s when there are so many players playing so well.

This lad has worked very hard this year, he works his socks off in training and always tries to improve himself. He has had some great games for Sports and his finest game this season was against rolls Royce when he again worked his socks off.

He has also made some great saves for Sports and the greatest  of all was against Priory Celtic when the Priory player broke the defence.
