Annual Awards Presentation Evenings 2004
Hucknall Sports Junior Football Club held its 27th annual awards and presentation evenings at the Hucknall Community Centre recently. Due to the ongoing success of the club, for the first time ever in its long history, the club had to hold 3 separate evenings to cater for over 600 people that attended. The three evenings covered the U7’s through to U9’s, U10’s through to U12’s and finally the U13’s through to U16’s.
The awards, totaling over 250, were presented by an elite group of people within the local footballing arena of Hucknall namely Brian Scothern & Simon Brown from Hucknall Town, Young Elizabethan League representatives Sharon Watson & Maurice Simpson, well respected Youth Acadamy representatives from the professional game Phil Shrewsbury & Mick Raynor and also Colin Lea from the Nottingham Tram Network, who have agreed to sponsor the under 11’s for next season which was announced on the evening of 11 June 2004.

The Richard Silverwood award went to Luke Del Rosso who, having played for Hucknall Sports since the age of 8, is now doing extremely well in another sport by representing England at Clay Pigeon shooting. |
The VAP Team Of the Year award voted by all the team managers went to the Under16's, managed by Richard Ward, who were crowned Division 3 Notts Youth League Champions. |
The most prestigious award within the club, the Irene and Ciss Flint award was presented by their daughter Jill Harley and was won by Andy Smith for his outstanding work in promoting the very successful Hucknall Sports Website which is now receiving comments worldwide. |

Our final award went to a Joe Wells who has scored 40 goals in 22 league matches and as such has proved to be the top goal scorer in the YEL Division 3 for the Under 10's Red and hopefully will continue to progress with this team to enable them to win their first silverware next season. |
