Annual Awards Presentation Evening 2005

Guests of Honour

Our guests of honour who  kindly gave up their time to help present our awards.

Steve Chettle, a well known former player of Nottingham Forest and is a local lad from Bulwell. If ever there was proof that if you have got the ability, together with the commitment, then you can make it into the professional game, then this is it. I am sure you would all agree that this guy has been a role model over the years that every boy should try to adopt.

Sharon Watson, Maurice Simpson & Mick Hill, three members of the YEL management committee . We were very fortunate to get this trio  because the demand on people like this, (willing volunteers like ourselves) is tremendous and we greatly appreciate them coming to join us.

Andy Todd, one of the stars of Hucknall Town FC. We are sure most of you either went to Villa Park or watched on TV the exciting FA Trophy final (the equivalent of the FA Cup in the amateur game) against Grays Athletic from Essex. Despite losing on penalties they were a credit to themselves and to their club. This guy started playing football for Priory Celtic in the YEL and then had the opportunity to join Nottingham Forest which he duly did working for Brian Clough and the likes of Stuart Pearce, Nigel Clough etc and became a very close friend of Marlon Harewood and still is today. He left Forest to join Worksop Town and ultimately joined Hucknall Town last season.
