Annual Awards Presentation Evening 2007
Under 9's Red

Having been placed in the top league it was
always going to be a tough season and that’s exactly what it turned out to be.
There was not going to be any of the 8-0 thrashings that we became used to last
year, this year we had to fight for the points for the full 50 minutes.
We had hoped for a top 4 finish but we
narrowly missed out and finished 6th with 3 points separating 6th
from 3rd and only 5 points separating 3rd from 2nd.
We have a wonderful set of lads that have a lot of raw talent and I believe that with a little more concentration and hard work through the summer we can aim for that top spot next season which is a far more fitting position for a very talented team.

Players, Player of the Year Derren Archer This award
is arguably the best. It basically means that your fellow team mates look
up to you and respect you and the work that you put into training and
match days. There has been so many times this year when he has pulled of
great saves in the dying seconds to earn us 3 points. With the specialist
goal keeping coaching we have lined up for him this summer this will only
get better and he will again play a major role in the coming season.

Sportsman / Most Improved Player Kyle Bradley This young lad turns up to every training session and every match. He starts most games on the bench but never moans or complains and when he gets his chance he puts his heart and soul on his sleeve and works really hard. This lad is our Ollie Gunnar Solskjaer, Super Sub, and when called upon he always delivers. |

Managers, Player of the Year Matthew King This boys football has progressed in leaps and bounds this year. This is mainly due to the fact that he’s got a raw talent and gives his undivided attention in training. He trains hard, listens and then puts what he’s learnt into practice. On the football pitch his concentration is second to none and he is turning out, and will be a very good footballer. |
